I’ve always seen Cielo as one of the better characters :/ High agility and luck that he’ll just eat their turns and get over half the statuses by next turn. Gale and Heat though… For being a tank, Heat can’t even take fire spells… And Gale feels too much like a hybrid except he ironically can’t hit or dodge, and has like a 98% chance to get statused by anything that inflicts em -.-

I'm sorry but to put Chemist even remotely on here is a sham, it requires you to abuse bugs to ACTUALLY be good in FF5. If you want to say otherwise be my guest but know that not only by mid game are you not doing only 500 damage, but Ranger exists in there too and unlike Chemist doesn't straight up break the enemy AI to work well. Anybody who's played 5 knows why I bring up Ranger. Rikku in FFX also does it, but nowhere to the same degree as 5 (she only does it to Penance) so it doubly doesn't belong here, it breaks enemy AI due to bugs in the two prominent times it was in mainline FF.

This is an incredibly ambitious goal, very excited to see the rating on all those games, Also this is a perfect series for me as circumstances would have I basically missed out on all the ps2 games.,

I'd like to include Cold Steel II, IV, and Trails to Reverie. In those games they made it easy to break Fie Claussell as a party member. You can easily boost her Evasion to 75%, but also 95% with a little planning. You then equip skills that make enemies focus on her, guarantee counter attacks, and make those attacks do up to 6X damage which means you free up more equipment slots for Evasion that you'd normally use for Defense or Attack. Depending on the game this may take a little time, but it's useful since she can distract the entire team of enemies while the rest of your party attacks. If the enemies shift their focus, Fie can use attacks designed to grab the enemies attention. In Cold Steel III through Reverie, you can turn Altina Orion into a very OP mage. I believe her magic and physical stats are about the same, but if you focus on a magic build she make most encounters last a couple of turns. A little more work and planning is required, but nothing extensive. This one in particular caught me by surprised because her design and story suggest she's more of a power house than a mage.

I've been put off this game due to its reputation but I kind of want to complete the entire series 😅

The game isnt terrible JUST because its not as good as the other StarOcean games. Its all about how you go about it. You are on the internet and there is a fan of everything ever made and also haters on things we may like.

It really is hard to understate just how broke Thunder God Cid from Tactics was. Orlandeau (the character's real name) was the posterboy for "Broken FF characters". He didn't just have Holy and Dark Knight abilities, but Divine Knight abilities as well! So he has access to the HP/MP drain of Dark Knight like Gaffgarion, the various "Holy(or Lightning) + status ailment" abilities at range like Agrias.... but can also break equipment at range like Meliadoul. The man was an unstoppable monster! Throw onto *_THAT_* that he had the aforementioned Excalibur which granted permanent auto-Haste, boosted and absorbed Holy damage.... and you get him at like level 60! He really does break the game. .... Sometimes in a bad way! Because you obtain him at such a high level, if you are unprepared for him being so strong, it can actually screw you over. The game scales random encounters to be equal level with the highest level party member in your group. For example, when I first played the game, my party was about level 30-35 when I got Thunder God Cid in my party! And he was level 60.... suddenly the entire WORLD became a minefield as all random encounters jumped in level. I was not prepared for the random bandits, panthers, and goblins I've been fighting to be suddenly replaced with hydras, dragons, and behemoths! And because I was young, I had NO IDEA WHY! I genuinely believe a lot of people really loved Orlandeau here is because of the same situation I just described. The game suddenly cranked up the difficulty, and they subconciously felt they had *_NO CHOICE_* but to react in kind, and pull out the major cannon that was Orlandeau. He was so powerful that he made the young players feel safe, and that they could breeze through these terrifying encounters that suddenly happened to them. And I'm not saying that happened to like... everyone... or even most folks. Just... a fair few, who were like me. I think after that first playthrough, I never used Orlandeau again. Man was too strong. Generics for life. Story characters are a crutch. Calculator for life, except when the War of the Lions added Dark Knight... then both are good.

I'm guessing Zell is also busted due to the damage overflow mechanic/bug, which was not mentioned in the reasoning. Otherwise, he should constantly be doing 9,999 dmg on the screen(especially if you incorporate meltdown before using his duel limit).

I would argue Rebirth Yuffie is pretty damn broken. Not only can you infuse her weapon with different elements on the spot - costing zero MP- but her doppelgänger ability is a literal game changer. Buff her with haste, protect, and shell and you’ve got one hell of a powerhouse. And not just that - during fights with elemental-based enemies, fully level up Elemental Materia and equip it to her armor connected with the respective materia element, but every character can do that. Feels like cheating when enemies are healing me the whole battle!

Guys, I'm playing FF12 TZA on the PC, I bought the game on Steam and started playing on the computer, but I noticed that I'm getting DOUBLE the XP and LP by killing the monsters (without any item that gives double equipped). This is ruining my game because it's making the game too easy, does anyone know if there's a way to disable this? Or why is this happening? I appreciate anyone who can help, thank you!!!

Fun fact, Rikku's Festivalist actually has one of the highest damage moves in the game in Holy Fish. Also, Yuna's hits twice on a normal attack, giving it a use as well.

In ff10 lulu seems to be glitched- have comrade equipped on her so she gets overdrive when our team gets attacked except it also goes up when she casts magic making it a combo of warrior and comrade. Can anyone tell me if its a glitch with lulu or with comrade? Everyone else has warrior (except wakka with slayer and yuna with stoic who seems resistant to new overdrives) so maybe osmosis is to blame.

Yoskue does more damage than Chei and naoto is the mob clearer and yukiko is op so Yoskue, Yukiko, and naoto are the best for buffs damage and utility

Before I watch this video all I want to say is FF12 the OG not the ZA. Spend about 237 hours of grinding once you get the board and maxing out almost everything. Yeah in my opinion hands down most over powered.
